WEEK 1:
 

6:00pm First Friday Family Shabbat
A family friendly service with a monthly specific Religious School grade focus where we welcome Shabbat with through spirited song, story and prayer. This service is followed by an optional family-style dinner at 7:00pm in the Barshop Auditorium with table blessings and an activity table for the kids.

6:30pm Shabbat Worship, Wulfe Sanctuary
A community Shabbat experience with prayer and song, Torah reading and d’var Torah, incorporating Kol Simcha our volunteer choir as well .

WEEK 2:


6:30pm Shabbat Worship, Wulfe Sanctuary
Spirited music-filled prayer incorporating our volunteer band and/or choir and a d’var Torah.

WEEK 3:
 

 6:30pm Shabbat Worship Service, Wulfe Sanctuary
A community Shabbat experience with prayer and song, as well as a Torah reading and d’var Torah.

6:30pm Lay Lead Shabbat Worship Service. Barshop Auditorium
Led by Temple volunteer Shlichei Tzibbur (service leaders) this spirited Shabbat celebration features guitar, choir and communal singing.

TBE50s+....After Oneg, share in shabbat dinner with friends new and old. Sign up ahead of time and join with others for a group meal at a pre-designated restaurant or a potluck at the Temple (each month may be different). WEEK 4:
 

6:30pm WORSHIP WORKS
Spirited music-filled prayer incorporating our volunteer band and/or choir.  In support of Temple Beth-El’s learning theme “Question of Faith” there will be an ongoing focus on specific prayers we find in the Sabbath liturgy. The Worship Works series will be part of the 4th Friday Shabbat Service of each month. One of the Rabbis or the Cantor will explore a specific prayer its content and context within the service.  

WEEK 5:

 

For months with five Fridays, we’ll share in our communal celebration.

 

Shabbat Morning – Saturday Mornings

 

SHABBAT MORNING WORSHIP IN THE SANCTUARY - SATURDAYS, 10:30 AM
 

We join together each week to share in Shabbat song and prayer, Torah study and spirit.
When a bar or bat mitzvah is scheduled our b’nei mitzvah students take part in leading worship in addition to reading Torah and Haftarah and teaching Torah to the congregation by giving a d’var Torah. (Click here for a list of b’nei mitzvah in 5777/2016-17)

SHABBAT MORNING MEDITATION SERVICE, 10:30AM- DREEBEN PAVILION
 

First and Third Saturday of every month.  Led by Shalich Tzibbur Michael Malinas, this intimate prayer circle combines traditional elements of Shabbat worship, the chanting of Jewish prayers flowing into brief periods of meditation. No previous experience with this form of worship is needed.

CLASSICAL REFORM SHABBAT WITH THE UNION PRAYER BOOK- SINAI EDITION
 

Enjoy the elegant and straightforward prose of this classical reform prayer book. We will highlight the music and style of our Classical Reform Tradition.
