Temple Beth-El Celebrates Cantor Julie Berlin’s 10 Years of Sacred Service on Shabbat Shirah

All are welcome to join us as we celebrate Cantor Julie Berlin’s 10 years of sacred service on Shabbat Shirah, January 26 and 27.

Friday, January 26, 6:30 pm: Shabbat Shirah, the Sabbath of Song Service with musician in residence, Israeli flutist, Mattan Klein and his band Crossroads

Saturday, January 27, 7:00 pm: Havdalah, Mattan Klein Jazz Café Concert, and special celebratory reception

Mattan Klein was born and raised in Jerusalem. He studied at the Rubin Academy in Jerusalem, and graduated with honors from the Berklee College of Music in Boston. His original compositions have earned him awards such as the John Lennon songwriting contest, and the USA Songwriting competition. He has performed on stages such as Carnegie Hall in New York, the Kennedy Center in Washington, NJPAC, and more. He is a gifted ensemble instructor and an original arranger, teaching and giving clinics and workshops across Israel, including the prestigious Thelma Yellin High School for Performing Arts. He is the music director and producer at the Hof Hasharon Regional Council. This is his second time serving as musician in residence at Temple Beth-El.
